I knew him personally - about my height between 6' & 6'1 but...

he was weirdly proportioned - short torso, long legs gangly

very athletic - running & jumping all the time hahaha

Felix is tall - his mom was taller than average

BTW - Pino is also really tall

That was my impression of his height when I met him. I also have short torso and long limbs, and was kind of surprised to see someone similar. I also had no idea who he was at the time. He'd come out to a Miami gig I was playing (on the road). I got the shock of my life shortly after that when I saw and then heard his first album. And he'd paid me a nice compliment at the gig, for which I realized I was quite unworthy at the time.

It looks like Felix got those proportions too.

Victor Bailey, Marcus Miller, David Dyson (all around 5' 10) Bakithi, kumalo, Scott Ambush (less than that)... So that theory is completely bogus!

Some years ago I went to see the Cleveland Orchestra and the principal bassist was a very small man standing on a stool to play a huge upright. Definitely vertically challenged and definitely a terrific player.

I have to agree. I hung out briefly with The Flecktones a few years ago after a show they had done, and Vic (and Futureman) are tiny (in stature - they are both MONSTER players, of course).
