How to carry mic stand with bass

I used a double bass gig bag to carry my mic and guitar stands as well as mic cables and extension cords.

Cons: the bag was pretty heavy fully loaded.
Pros: it was almost theft proof due to weight. The fit was great since it didn’t have to be tetrissed in.

I wish Temple Audio develop a mic stand solution for their pedalboards. Quick connect telescopic shaft and boom. Would be better than trying the fit a tripod along a pedalboard and would be easy to carry in the pedalboard gigbag.

Can you attach (maybe hose clamps) a pvc pipe to your cart to hold the mic stand? It can ride upside down, depending on the stand.

For over 40 years I have been annoyed with not being able to transport a mic stand effectively along with a bass case, and/or on a cart (they always fall off). I WISH there was a good quality carry bag with a long pocket for the mic stand, but alas, only cheap bags have this feature.

I've tried bungee cords, yadda yadda; what would work is a way to attach the stand upright to the folding cart, but no provision for that.

So how do you guys secure your mic stand to your gear for a one-trip load-in?

I use my old "ruk sack". I can put a bunch of "stuff" in there, even a bass in a gig bag of I want to. I usually carry my bass but, pedal board and everything else goes in the sack. It has shoulder straps and a handle.

I recently got a Roadrunner Highway bag that has a full-length accessories section that might do what you need. Haven't tried it myself, but something to consider.

We call those “rod holders”, usually attached to the bumper of a pickup truck. The first thing I thought of…

I don’t understand…why do you have to bring your own? Is there some special configuration that you need to have? That should be on the venue(who would theoretically have a house sound system), or else the band you’re in bringing its own(or hired), with one person in the band(or auxiliary PA person)being in charge of all of that.

That's an interesting bag. Unfortunately, the amount of small crap I have in my current bag's pocket (Gator) would just slosh around in that giant space. If all I had was the stand, I'd look into it. Thanks!

There are a few pockets inside that massive space as well.

I'm not a singer, but I've used an Airturn for years to hold my Mackie SRM150 monitor, my tablet & utility tray. I love how this collapses down to a very portable size.
