How to fit strap buttons?

Hi, so I buy a new ESP LTD D-5 (including a form-fitted hard shell case). After replacing the original purchased unit I finally got my bass last week.

I am now concerned with the fitting of the bass on to the hard shell case. Specifically I am concerned that the case will get damaged by the strap buttons (everything else fit naturally and tight). I don't want to push too much on the case so the fabric don't get teared by the button.

Is there any way to make the case to fit the strap button (non destructive way of course).

Thanks in advance

If I'm following your description, you're worried about the strap buttons on the bass poking holes in the fabric lining of the case. Yeah, I've seen that happen in cases that don't provide a small notch for the buttons.

Best thing I can think of is to find a couple pieces of tough cloth (or thin leather) to pad those points. Another possibility is just to push on those places in the case where the strap buttons contact it, and see if you can put a little bend there.

Put the bass in the case butt end first. Lower the bass flat on top of the cutout. Push the bass toward the butt so the butt end button presses into the foam, creating enough room for the horn button to clear the edge of the cutout and lower it in.

To remove, push the bass toward the butt end until horn button is clear and lift it out.

Soon the butt button will form the foam to itself. The case needs to be broken in.
