How to I set up audio input on my PC?

I'm running Windows Vista, and I have Cubase LE 4 and the ZOOM b2.1u.

How do I record from my bass? If I plug in the b2.1u through USB and try to record, nothing is recorded. How do I set it up? Is there anything I need to buy, or is my standard PC setup okay?
