How to introduce band members

One time our keyboard player intro'd the bandleader:
"Y'know, folks, every band needs a leader, and we have one of the best. He's an incredible player..." and he went on with a bunch of praise and superlatives... "it's a pleasure and an honor to work with him."

Short pause...

"but he couldn't make it tonight, so instead we have (name)!"
:D

I like being introduced at some point because when I play I always try my best to throwdown and most times I get a reaction from the crowd. Word of mouth means a lot to musicians. And yes, full name please.

End of the night, during the applause...like curtain calls on Broadway. Point 'em out, rattle 'em off, and get the frak off the stage.

"Thank you, thank you very much. Jerry Buttinski, Wallace Yomama, Bill Schidtz, Norm Gongadooey, and Philbo Angstrom-Smithers. We're the Mungholes, have a great night! Thank you!"

Boom, gone.
