How to keep my wireless system from turning too sterile and high??

I have an Audio Technica system that TOTALLY changes my tone into a sterile, cold, and crappy tone that lacks ANY form of bottom end. It sucks. What can I do to keep my tone but still use wireless??

What model did you buy? I have found that when I had a cheap wireless system I need to crank up the bass on my amp. I now use an older shure model that doesn't alter my tone but I paid about $500 for it used.
