Have you received your Aria Pro II CLB yet?

Hi all! First post here.

I’ve preordered my Aria Pro II Cliff Burton signature model and can’t wait for it to arrive. Wanted to see if anybody else who’s preordered has received it yet. If so, how is it? How does it play, sound, feel? There is very little user reviews online about it.

I saw a CLB in the wild while on vacation in Tokyo! It was at G Club in Shibuya. I played it for a few minutes and it feels / looks like the Japanese SB-1000RIs I’ve played in the past, so of good quality. The action was a little high and it did not have lighter gauge Rotosounds though. Anyway, it seems like a really nice instrument!

Oh, those are awesome pictures! Thanks for going the length to take them! I heard from our distributor in Finland today that they have finally shipped the basses, and hopefully they'll arrive here by next week. Seems like the SB1000 is indeed MiJ. I really wonder what the difference is between the two. Besides the aesthetics, all I can tell is the brass nut and the brass tuner on the SB1000 compared to the Nubone and the black Chrome (?) tuners on the CLB. Does the brass nut really make much difference?

I purchased my SB-CLB 3 months ago (4/15) and I’m still waiting on it. Was told it would arrive at the end of May at the latest and here I am almost 3 months later, well, technically 2 months I suppose, still waiting for any news or updates on it.
It’s very frustrating.

But, in the meantime I got the deal of a lifetime on an SB-R60 ‘81 which was renamed the Elite I and then Black ‘n Gold I which is what Cliff favored over the SB-1000 (sending it back to Aria’s CEO) and used on the MoP tour. Mine is just a different color (natural) but has the same specs as it’s the same bass anyway as Cliff’s BnG I.

So anyway, you’re not the only one who’s going to be waiting. Now they’re saying August at the latest and the last batch (which is yours, most likely) of CLB’s are scheduled to arrive in October(!!!).

I was told mine is part of the first batch. But, I’m not holding my breath. I may even cancel it and get my money back. Not sure yet.
