I already put my .02 about this earlier in the thread, but this is seriously one of the best purchases I've made as of late. The only cable to worry about is for your headphones. No dongles, no software, just pure direct tone from your bass and bluetooth that is super simple to connect to the device of your choice. If you're just trying to practice along to some music then a device like this is all you need. I know Nux and Vox also make them as well, but the reviews for the Fender are consistently better and the thing just works. I've run the iRig stuff before and it's a hassle having to connect to the phone and the app before you have a chance to even hear your bass, plus those stupid adapters break by just looking at them wrong.

Wild. I think most of the amps I've owned have series loops... Aguilar, GenzBenz, Mesa, etc...

Jumping into this thread (hope it's okay) as I have a related problem.
I'm struggling to get my iPhone 12 Pro Max to connect via a lightning adapter to 1/8 cable to my Fender rumble 100 (newest version).
Any thoughts on what I can be doing wrong?
I have verified that the output audio signal from the phone is going to "headphones", amp is on, volumes on both devices are up. I've verified I'm plugged into the line in input and not headphones input on the amp. I'm mystified.

Well guys, I got that iRig2 earlier today. Got everything plugged up and have messed around with it a little bit and I'm not not impressed at all. More of a gimmick than anything. Kind of sounds like crap and then there's all these little built-in amplifiers and heads that you have to pay to get and they only have a couple for free. I guess that's why it was $49. I think I'm packaging it up and sending it back to Amazon.

** just put in an order for the Nux Mighty Plug Pro.

Agreed on the Zoom B3n

Something I didn't realize until comparing it to other options (preamp pedals) is how flexible the headphone out on it is. I've run into a few preamp pedals with headphone out and they have a tough time driving them, but the Zoom B3n doesn't (has a volume control too) and so you can get a solid mix with your aux-in.

If you truly dig the GK tone though (I certainly do), the inexpensive mixer will do the job. You can also EQ the music and volume to make it suit various headphone types better.

Personally I do it through a DAW recording software on my PC. All you need is an interface and some software. I never practice with an amp at home anymore, and I can dump an MP3 of something to play along with I into the DAW, or stream something in the background.
