How to play thumb start my harley?

It's been quite a while since I went through this one section by section. Overall Victor lays out the open hammer pluck in the tutorial section pretty clearly, and as he's improvising within the form pretty much everything he does, including the solo, are favorite concepts of his that he's used in many songs and comes back to regularly in that era.
I also think he either transcribed the parts himself or was very involved in the making of the transcription book, so it's a pretty good window into how he approaches the song.

Cant understand what notes he playes i got almost whole song and only 3 part that i cant understand can you help me or transcribe or ive me any idea to play that parts? (3:17 - 3:34) (3:55 - 4:02) (4:23 - 4:31)
At 3:17 he's just walking with octaves up the E minor pentatonic scale, then sliding down from D to Db (thinking Dorian). The last little flourish is a line he uses all the time, playing an E dominant line with a hammer from F# to G#, then D to E, which outlines the dominant chord. Other than that little dominant run pretty much everything falls into Dorian.
The lines at 3:55 are mostly pull-offs on the G string between thumped notes, following the E Dorian mode. Again, this is a technique he uses all the time in various ways, so it's much more a technical concept than a specific lick.
4:23 sounds like it's all minor pentatonic, with lots of ghost notes.
If you transcribe and study more of Victors solos you'll hear pretty much all of these techniques and approaches come back over and over again, it's a good primer for his baseline approach to thumb soloing.

I guess you know you can slow down the video in YouTube? Just checking. Do you have the book? It shows the whole song, only not this live version I guess but something very similar. I studied the book a lot back in those days when it just came out. It influenced me quite a bit.

In the Bass Extremes video (the full one they sell, which isn't necessarily the same as clips pirated and put on YouTube) after each song they give a breakdown of the piece, how they play it, and the techniques involved. In this case, if you are working on Victor's stuff, he gives a very clear explanation of his open hammer thumb technique and how he uses it in that line.
The transcription book also covers every note on the record, which is not identical to the live video but pretty close in most cases other than the solos.
Oh man! I remember seeing this live at a guitar store in Kansas City a long time ago. They were touring around promoting the Bass Extremes book/video and they played most of the songs that night. Pretty amazing!
