How to record using Zoom H4n?

Just want something to press play real quick if I play a line I want to remember and stay in the moment.

The *one* thing I really didn't like about my H4n was the boot time. I forget now, but I think it was at least 30-40 seconds. It might have depended on the size of the memory card.

Not a huge deal--I just had to remember to get it out and turn it on first thing when I get to band rehearsal, and by the time I was done setting up it would be ready.

Still, it was annoying sometimes. And you did say "real quick", so it's something you might want to keep in mind.

Various models and manufacturers vary a lot on boot time but it's not something that's ever mentioned in specs, unfortunately, you have to dig around through reviews or ask someone.

30 to 40 seconds is fine. Much better than having to get my home studio and DAW up and running
