How to stabilize a light head on a thundering cab?

So I've got a light TC Electronic atop a Fender 4x10 and at volume the head dances all over the place.
Anyone have a great solution for stabilizing a head atop a thundering cab?

Put an SVT on top of the TC Electronic head. That oughta do it.

Good ideas, thanks. Trying not to go into public places much (I'm in a city with terrible COVID numbers) and trying not to patronize Amazon. Ace hardware suggested pads they have for washing machines, 7 bucks but they said they stink something terrible and I should leave them outside for a day or two before bringing them inside. Yoga mat makes sense but I don't have one I can chop up. Sorthobane is pricey! Looked around. I really shouldn't be playing as loud as I was to make the head dance like that anyway when solo, but once gigs happen again will be glad to have proactively addressed this (also have a fresh set of Etymotic Research ER20XS' accordingly).

I run a 210 cab vertical on most gigs, which puts the handle at the top.


I run the power cord and the speaker cable thru the handle after hooking them up to the head.


Then I run the instrument cable thru the handle as well, just to be sure I don't pull the head off the cab.


Not sure of your cab situation, but this might work with the handles on the side too.

This thread has made me consider how the cabinet sits on the floor. It's wood atop concrete. Thinking some isolation beneath the cab might de-muddy a bit, reduce sympathetic vibrations. Hm....

Rachet straps, velcro, or bungi cord is one solution. The other is to try rubber feet on the head. That might give enough grip.

Velcro. Sorry, I know some people still hold a grudge against Velcro. I'm a big Apollo 1 fan myself but I think you can't blame the product for its own misapplication.

Depending which head you could loop the cable through the amp handle but that comes with its own set of issues. I know some TC amps don't have the handle, some do.

Serger mat for sewing machines.

I use these under my lightweight heads.

they are a little thicker than a yoga mat material. They are pretty cheap.

I used some super thin garbage from Ikea that goes under rugs.

Silicone trivets (pot holders). Vibration dampening, grippy, and heat resistant. Plus you won't have to cut them to size.

Am I the only one who's wondering why the amp has to go on top of the speakers? The darn thing isn't all that big, it can go just about anywhere.

There is a TB member that sell a set of circular pads connected by para cord for packing ease. You put the pads under the feet of the amp and it stays put. I can't remember his member name.
