How would you slave 2 PA/ Powered Mixers like these?

I know this has probably been answered many times but I need to know and I could'nt search out the answer. How would you slave 2 PA/ Powered Mixers like these(see pics.)? Each powered Mixer has 2 separate power amps-200 watts @4 ohms and 150 watts @ 8 ohms...1 amp for mains and 1 for monitors per powered mixer... though the amps can be set so that all the power goes to the mains if you wish. The back panel just has 2 out puts for each channel , A or B. So what do you think guys... can two of these amps be slaved ? We have two large 4 ohm cabs with a 15' and a 10" speaker that we hoped to push with 400 watts with one Powered Mixer and use the other Powered Mixer to power a 112/ horn PA cab thru the mains on each side and 1- 112 monitor as well per side. i would use the first unit as the actual mixer - run the monitors from the monitor out and run the main poweramp on that one to the 1x12 cabs. i'd send a line out from the main send to the 2nd mixer to run your big cabs with.

What he said. Use the line level out.


Ideally a good solution is to have amps to run the speakers you are not powering with your mixer. The line level out is used for that too. For future reference.

i would use the first unit as the actual mixer - run the monitors from the monitor out and run the main poweramp on that one to the 1x12 cabs. i'd send a line out from the main send to the 2nd mixer to run your big cabs with.

So are you saying
1) On Power/mixer 1...use it as mixer...and use it to power the 1x12 cabs and monitors
2)send a line "out"to the 2nd Mixer...sorry, but you just lost me and I do'nt want to blow any thing up...I assume you are talking about sending a line out from one of th 1/4 " inputs on the the front of Power Mixer #1 to # 2 (See Photo close up of front of amp showing inputs)...Which inputs do I use...Thanks!! Line outs should be on the front of your mixer...probably 1/4 inch. My mixers have line levels out for mains and line outs for monitors. Use any 1/4 input channel on the 2nd mixer. Looks like yours is the same.

As we no longer have the manual and the company that makes this powered mixer no longer is in business I wondered if this Idea would work. Ok...this powered mixer has two amps inside,side by side... amp A for the Mains, and B for the Monitors (200 Watts each @ 4 ohms), and there is a control switch on the front of the amp so I can combine the power of amp A and B to get 200 watts per channel to the mains.
So far the suggestion has been to use the first amp as the Mixer, hook up the monitors up to amp # 1, as well as the 1 x12 PA cabs to the mains to amp # 1, and run lines out to amp # 2.
Here s where my confusion lies but in the latest pic I just blew up, it seems that the most obvious place to run a line out of Amp #1 is from the 1/4" Main out to amp #2 Amp A 1/4" input...that would get the power from the #1 Mains amp to the second...and running a line out from the Monitor Out on Amp # 1 to the Input on Amp B on Amp #2 would get the power from the #1 Monitor amp to the 2nd. Does that sound right to you guys.
Also a couple questions. How would we use the attenuator, monitor and mains and reverb volume , and tone controls on the two amps? Sorry this is not my equipment. Peace...DACat

I would use the main line level out of one amp and plug into a channel on the 2nd amp. Adjust your mix and volume, you should be good to go.

So do you use the volume levels, etc at all...on the 2nd mixer, or use the first one as mentioned above as the mixer for everything...and if so, where do you leave the settings on the 2nd mixer? Thanks DAcat

This.

Instruments plug into Mixer 1. Mixer 1's Amp A powers the PA cabs, Amp B powers the monitors. Use the connections on the back. Make sure your PA cabs and Monitors are all 8 ohms.

Then plug Mixer 1 into Mixer 2. Connect the "Main" out on the front panel on Mixer 1, assuming that's a line level connection, to any channel on Mixer 2. The "effects send" on Mixer 1 would probably also work, and is most definitely at line-level. Plug Mixer 2's Amp A and B into the big cabs using the connections at the back.
