Hey all, just recently got back into the bass after a few-year hiatus. Started playing back in the 80s in Jr. High as part of the Jazz Band where we played such jazzy classics as Ghostbusters and the theme from M.A.S.H. But, at least I got to play a cool, semi-hollow body Vox!
It was all down hill from there - I was in various bands in the 90s and early 00s and now just noodle in the house and do a tiny bit of recording.
I seem to collect more guitars than basses, but have recently gotten the bass bug again. My tried and true MIJ Fender 60s reissue Jazz is my one and only electric bass. Bought it new in '93 and it's been used and abused since. Just recently pulled it out of the case and gavie a good setup - plays like a dream. Not much to look at after years of abuse, but plays like buttah.
Anyway, looking forward to catching up on all things bass! This looks like a pretty cool place to hang out!
