I've been lurking around TB since 2007 I think, so I finally got around to joining. I've learned a lot about my old U.S. Ampeg SVT 3 Pro from Jerrold Tiers, so I'd like to thank him for his input straight up. Seriously this site is a great resource for all things Bass related, most of the questions I have somebody has already asked and been answered.
I only own two basses, an 02 Fender Jazz and a MIJ 'Profile' brand PBass copy from circa '83. I've owned three other Profile basses, but my Olympic white one is the keeper. To be honest for me it gets the nod over the 'real deal' Jazz. After 36 years, (Ouch!, I just worked that out..) of roundwounds I'm trying flats, I've got some Herbie Flowers inspired Roto RS 88's, so sort of flats, on the Jazz and they are a lot of fun, so I'm waiting on a set of La Bella FM's to arrive for the P-Type Bass. Maybe I'll post a review. Anyhow, nice to be here, maybe I'll catch you around the traps.
