How to: Bi-Amping a Speaker | Klipsch

"Bi-amplification, or bi-amping, is a technique which uses one amplifier for the low frequencies and a second amplifier for middle and high frequencies. This technique can allow users to take advantage of the strengths of each amplifier in its interaction with the speakers (i.e. use a 150 watt amp for the woofers and a 50 watt amp for the tweeter)."

Correct more or less, I was just having trouble following what you used to do compared to what you are doing now.

Biamping can give greater control over tone and allows for a different choice in speakers to achieve this.

In your case, seems to me that both your cabs should be running off the main amp, not the highs amp.
From the Hartke website:

"Designed with more control in mind. Virtually unlimited tone-shaping and plenty of power for maximum headroom in any playing situation. Selectable tube and solid state preamps for a rainbow of new tone colors. Pinpoint equalization, tone control and compression to fine-tune each sound. Built rugged, each amp is known for the clean, high-impact sound that put Hartke on the map. 350 watts per side at 4 ohms/240 watts per side at 8 ohms.

Biamp or mono full range operation.

Selectable tube & solid state preamps. Bass & treble Contour controls and 10-band Graphic EQ. Adjustable compression. Variable active crossover w/ balance control. Balanced XLR output."

You need to run in the mono full range mode because both your cabs are full range.

Then you can plug one cab into each amp. If each cab it 4 ohms you get 350w per cab. Or if they're both 8 ohm you can run one into each amp and get 240w per cab.

right stumbo, that's what I started doing awhile ago. As for the "rainbow of tone colors". LOL, yra theres some difference between the tube and solid state, wouldn't think if it as a rainbow of colors though.LOL But I'm not knocking the amp,I really like it, although its freakin heavy. Thank you all for you're input, or is it output??? LOL
