HPF-Pre 3 LED?

Quick question -- I just got an HPF-Pre 3. The LED only lights briefly when I plug in the AC power.
Should it stay on when plugged in and operating? Or is this normal behaviour?

Normal behavior. It's intended only to blink briefly to show it's getting power. The feature is actually designed to 'test the battery' when plugging in the unit (unlike most effects boxes, the connection to the output starts drawing power not the input). And IIRC only flashes rather than stays lit so that it doesn't draw down the battery any more than necessary.
