it's the new EA wizzy cab, right? they've managed to put all the sound from (8) 10s, (4) 12s, (2) 15s and (1) 18 into one cabinet with a single driver. it doesn't need a tweeter. it's a very efficient 4 ohm cab with 600 watts power handling.

those folks at EA are freakin smart.

Ok, so backstory: how did this happen? Was it a) you followed the thread in 2007 and have been looking for a picture ever since, or b) you were watching reruns/YouTube/whatever, saw it, grabbed a screen cap, and then consulted Google to explain what it was that you thought you were seeing?

I found the thread by accident, looking for mesa cabs. So, I realized nobody posted a pic. I did some research and uploaded an Image.

has anyone seen this thing? it was on tonight with the band Cold War Kids, i saw it last week with another band....i think it was Clap your hands say yeah. anyways....with clap your hands the guy was runinn an svt 8X10 stack.....but next to it the same height as an 8X10 was a single sub enclosure.......i thought it was rediculous...i saw the same thing tonight with this other band, next ao what looked to be just an ashdown combo, so i know the band isnt runnin a combo amp AND a huge ass sub......anyone know what the deal is? its only been with the bass player they have it....

Just about all the stage gear is props; consider that the mix engineer is mixing audio to be reproduced on a typical 3 inch speaker in most television sets... I doubt that they are even micing the bass cabs, more likely just a DI feed.

I've had some experience mixing television audio, and the stage levels on a studio set is generally very low.
