hypertension= any success stories?

I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, I also take meds for both. My bp when I was diagnosed was 180 over 144.... how I wasn't dead or a stroke victim at that point is still beyond me. My cholesterol was nearly 300 at the time as well. Yeah, I smoked like a chimney, ate fast food constantly and drank black coffee by the gallon.

Now with meds, no smoking for the last 8 years and a somewhat better diet my cholesterol is 159 and my bp is 115 over 80.

You guys with the high BP and colesterol should all read a book by DR Leo Galland, The Four Pillars of Healing. In fact, everyone should read it. He is one of the most sought after docs in the US, takes on the "incurables" and cures them. It's an easy read.

1. Ok, I have a degree, you have propaganda. I can easily assure you that big pot heads, especially the ones a biscuit shy of 300lbs don't have good blood pressure.

2. Despite you thinking marijuana is the best thing on earth and will bring an end to world hunger, dictatorships, cure cancer, etc, you MISSED a TB standard of carrots? :eyebrow: I see it doesn't sharpen the mind as much as some would like to believe.

Well here's some more "propaganda" for you guys from science. http://www.freedomisgreen.com/cbd-in-marijuana-treats-ms-alters-cholesterol-metabolism/

Propa Ganda.

A recent study shows that weed smokers know everything on the internets.

I just love how opened minded you are. Keep having a closed mind on things and that'll get things on track in this world. What is so harmful about a plant that just grows the way it does? If it's so bad for us, why do we have receptors in our brain whose only function is to interact with cannabis? Look up cannibinoids. It is a real thing. This isn't just some pot head wanting it legal to go out and smoke. All this information has been looked at and studied by people who have had family members die from cancer or heart problems or diabetes. There is a real cure for this stuff but guess what, how will the pharmaceutical companies make money by curing? They don't, only by treating. And also, if it is bad, why does the government own the only patent for marijuana citing the treatment and cure for multiple scoliosis?

The problem is that it doesn't a genius or anyone with a background in biostatistics, which you don't, to see that most pro MJ articles are published with an agenda. Drug companies do the same thing, which means that BOTH sides are WRONG. When a study doesn't say what the people who paid $ to fund, then it doesn't get published.

However, you are barking up a tree that you don't have remotely the credentials to argue against me. Pot smokers will create any study for the good of the cause and it annoys me to no end that cancer, HIV, and MS patients are being used to generate sympathy so musicians can listen to Phish in a way that makes them suck less.

You can throw as many "studies" at me as you'd like, but thinking they're BS is hardly being close minded. I choose to go with what I know works because I've done it and seen the results. K?

Next "study" because anyone with an internet connection OBVIOUSLY knows more than healthcare practitioners. I don't know what's worse, daytime TV medical advice, that know-it-all neighbor where old folks get all their info, or the e-blogger who knows more than people with degrees. Oh yes, they'd get that degree, but the educational and job system is obviously completely biased against them.

The part you are missing is it DOES help people with medical problems. And most the studies were actually commissioned by the DEA to see what the effects really are. And then they come out with their results and findings and all of a sudden those tests and studies don't matter? Why not get back to a true republic with the freedom of choice? So what if some burn out wants to do nothing but smoke pot and listen to Phish? He's not the one out robbing and stealing. How does it really affect you? It doesn't. Its not the governments job to decide what I should be able to do and what I have cant

So what if some burn out wants to do nothing but smoke pot and listen to Phish?

Because he's arguing that we need to legalize it for the cancer, HIV, and MS patients.

I am 100% fine with doing anything and everything necessary. However, this isn't about them and it never is. We'd like to pretend it is. Nonetheless, any reputable oncologist doesn't encourage MJ use. You'll claim that it's because of a fascist society, but it's because it doesn't work very well. You'll claim it does, but if you believe so strongly, go to med school.

I think Von Felgenhauer is really my 19 year old neighbor Brandon. He can cite more studies and statistics for the pro pot movement than anyone I've ever met.

Incredible.

Brandon, tell your Dad to give me a call about the muffler on Mom's van when he has a chance.

Is the National Cancer Institute reputable enough for you?Cannabis and Cannabinoids (PDQ®) - National Cancer Institute There is a reason why 16 states have Medical Marijuana legal and 14 states have simple possession now decriminalized. Facts are NOT propaganda. If you don't want to know the truth, that's fine, but don't say I'm wrong when you haven't even studied. Yes it does work. There are thousands upon thousands of resources I or anyone can cite from. But they are real. The government or any body has never come out with a real study showing Marijuana to be harmful. In fact, the study they did in the 60's that showed monkey's die from marijuana intake? They finally came out and said they put oxygen masks on the monkeys and feed them pure THC smoke for hours on end. So with 0% oxygen, their brain cells died and eventually went on to killing them. Marijuana has never been proven to be a known link to anything harmful. You say you aren't closed minded. Then take a step back and look at the real picture. This isn't the 70's and 80's anymore. We are intelligent people. We do have the research and proof to back up our claims. Where's yours?

Ummmm..... No oxygen for hours on end, huh? They were some amazing monkeys!!!

My diploma and license are on the wall. Where's yours?

You keep talking about a diploma but you don't say in what field. And who are you to say Im not it from some formal education? Alot of the studies people can find were actually conducted at Harvard University. But then again, all propaganda right? Everything you have said I have rebutted with documentation and proof where all you reply is I'm wrong. If you don't want any real treatment and you are happy taking little pills everyday to treat you and NOT cure you, go ahead. I'm done.

And who are you to say Im not it from some formal education?

Because you won't say your field or mention your diploma.

You think your the first pothead to challenge me? You think your the first one to whip out a "study" that refutes everything I've said? For the record, I don't think it's that bad, but you have to overplay your hand to try to make us think it's that good.

From even the most simplest studies, randomized double blind is basically impossible, thus don't even have the basic thing that most conventional medical journal studies are founded upon.
