Assume you were to buy an on-board bass preamp. How would you prefer it at the time of purchase?

Fully wired, half-wired but parts included, or just the module and you supply parts and wire it yourself?

I’m asking because I might sell a preamp that, in its current state, is half-wired. I’d need to purchase a pot and do some soldering to make it complete.

As far as the jack is concerned, should that be wired up as well, or left disconnected...since someone may have a different type (barrel vs. standard) and not even use it?

I Don't mind soldering, but my preference is fully wired. Not so concerned with the jack. Some of my basses have a barrel jack, and some standard. Probably not necessary to include a jack. Be sides, barrel jacks need to be installed from outside into the control cavity, so if it is already soldered, you would have to disconnect anyway.
