I really am G.A.S.-free, too. The only thing I had my mind on was a new Fender, but I played an '08 Precision and Jazz last weekend. They were fine. And, "fine" doesn't cause G.A.S.
I've got a cool, beat-up Precision with a Jazz neck, and my Reverends are unbeatable. Other than that, the only basses that have really impressed me cost way more than I'd ever spend at this point. So, as far as basses, no G.A.S. here. A louder rig.. well, that's another story..
