I bought a Behringer Half Stack today, doing something wrong

I have the output turned almost all the way down, and if I hit the low ends hard the limit light comes on. And if I turn it up the limit light comes on almost all the time and it sounds distorted. It's a 450W half stack. I don't know what I'm doing and I'm frustrated.

Behringer doesn't make the greatest amps in the world but they are useable. Check your eq especially if you like to push up mids. if your bass is active then try using another bass if the problem persists it's the amp for sure. does the amp have a separate gain knob if so turn that down otherwise try the behringer website or contact them for support.

whats your gain set to?

your gain should be at 9-11 o clock, if 7 is 0 and 5 is max. Then set the amp flat, and add here and there.

Also, active bass? lower the output, as in dont add everything full
