Perfect shape. But I don't need it.
Should I buy and get rid of my SX?
You should buy it and keep the SX.
I bought a MIM P years ago for $80 and still love it, though it has a Jazz neck on it now.
Yes, then sell it if you dont like it for $200. You can get a 'free' SX/fuzz pedal/ipod etc.
I was thinkin maybe put on a fretless J neck.....
If it's in nice shape, buy it and evaluate which one to keep. Bet it's the MIM!
100 bucks? Heck's Yes buy it!
But he doesn't need it.
GAS usually isnt defined as a need.
Oops, sorry, I misread the question.
OP, I wouldn't switch just because it says "Fender" on the headstock, but if you like it better, that's a good price. If you want to upgrade in the future, you should have no problem making a few bucks on the deal.
Every bassist needs a backup bass.
Just don't wind up with 6 of them.
sigh... try 9... dee dee doo doo
I'm at 4. Plan on picking up a cheapo ABG in the near future for fireside jams.
My wife says I have a problem.
I don't think so...
OP, definitely pick up that MIM P for $100! If it really is mint, it's a bargain at twice the price. In the off chance you don't like it, you can sell it come out waay ahead, as others have stated.
Buy it. If you don't like it, sell it to me at a small profit.
The MIM P is the best bang for the buck on the planet.
You can't go wrong with a $100 bass. Worse thing can happen is that you take it to a guitar center and trade it on something and get more $$ in trade than you paid for it. You can always make $$ on a $100 Fender bass
Horrible idea! It will ruin you life! As an elder, I feel that it is my duty to prevent you from making such a bad mistake. Have the seller contact me and I will consul them about their wicked ways.
Ratts...beat me to it You could make a few bucks on that bass if its in decent shape fo' sure.
