I can only play 1 bass for 6 months...!

I think it's down to 2. The jaguar and the P.

The jag has the fast jazz neck and a bunch of sounds but I haven't spent enough time with it to know what sounds.

The P has the classic sound and looks really cool. But I am just getting used to the huge neck. I feel like if don't take it it might set back my practice. But what if I take it and just don't get used to it? Then it's just frustrating!

Ooohhh, Thats not gonna work Kick. I rented a room in a 2 bedroom flat, with some random girl. Well i told her i was bring a bass and wouldn't be loud, she told me its okay because shes bringing her drums lol

I'm pretty sure i need a bass in this situation, living 6 months with a drummer, and thats the only person i know in the city haha

So RW Precision or Jaguar?

No modding, no buying new gear ( I am saving for an Orange Terror Bass and SP212 iso cab)

I vote Jag, because textbook says it's the most versatile.. plus you are more comfortable with the other two, so if the jag doesn't work out and you're missing one, you'll know which of the two you should swap with it next trip home

This might actually be the best reason. You might find that you don't like P-bass necks no matter how much you try. In which case you can either sell your P-bass or buy a different neck for it.

My choices and reasons:

1) Road worn = ready for travels!

2) New bass = learning its intricacies without being able to go back to the known quantities makes for good learning.

--------------------------

3) Jazz = You know it by heart, leave it be, you'll love getting back to it.

I think I figured this out. I will be taking the precision. It's such a great sound, I have a set of nickels and chromes ready to string.

I noticed that if I'm leaving everything behind on this move the precision provides that taste of home.

The jag is new and unknown the precision is familiar and broken in. It's something I'm used to coming home too.

That's my reasoning here. Great sound feel look and it's comforting.
