I could use some recommendations SR1006 pre-amp recommendations, please.

I really like how my sr1006 plays, but the tone leaves a little to be desired; the output is a little low and there's a terrible fizz if I boost the treble. It's stock with USA dual coil Barts and the Ibanez vari-mid EQ, volume/blend/stacked bass and treble/stacked mid freq and level controls. I'd really appreciate some recommendations for a replacement preamp that would work with the stock 4 knob routing and tame that annoying high end fizz.

A treble boost of any brand boosts 'fizz', high freq noise that's in the system.

Best way to boost treble is before the pre am. IE strings or technique .

I've owned several of the Ibanez Prestige basses and the USA Custom Barts they use. I've always loved how the Aguilar OBP-3 preamp sounds with those pickups. Made a huge difference in tone with that upgrade.
