Looks odd to me, but happiness is an individual thing! It's certainly no odder than a lot of the covers on the 60's Japanese-made basses. Enjoy.

I put a 51' P Bass bridge cover on my Squier FVM Fretless, it looked way to weird so off it went. I'm a traditionalist, the Jazz Bass cover would be what I would have put there instead. Again, it's your bass, whatever rocks your boat.

That is pretty much the only reason I went with the P cover, because I didn't want the big jazz one in my way. Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the Jazz covers, but I think personally it would have gotten in MY way. I know there are tons of guys out there with the big Jazz tray and a pickup cover and they are fine with it, it looks good, etc...but this is mine

I dont like covers BUT that looks way better then the huge ass jazz one.

I think it looks better now with the black on black...I had to mod the pickguard a little, but it's not even noticeable...
