I am very happy to know that talkbass is NOT the kind of forum where people will normally take shots at you for your creative process. This is the kind of forum where we can network, share information, critique, (when called for, and in a grown up way,) support each other, and have a little fun, which is exactly what I thought it was when I joined.

The mods have done a great job of showing exactly what the spirit of this forum is, and is intended to be.

There is never a need for an "ignore" function on a moderated forum. We all know the rules, and when we sign up as members, we agree to them. The only "drama queens" I have noticed on any of these threads have been banned.

Different people have different ideas about what constitutes "pot shots, "grown up", "a little fun", and "spirit of this forum".

While I have never used the "ignore" button, yes, it has a function, because reasonable people can differ.

Why not describe it in detail?

No need to be vague.

I've been a member for 9 years, almost 10 now. Talkbass is like a safe heaven for me, an artifical home where I'm with friends.

There has always been useless noise in TB just like everywhere else on the planet, I'm sure I've been considered as useless noise to many people too and it's perfectly natural. Useless is a point of view actually just like good and bad.

I ignored my useless noises in life, grabbed my sliced cheese on my forehead and enjoyed it while watching the quiet sunset. There's an ignore option just for that right here in TB, also never talked behind them as my father taught me.
I always enjoyed your old avatar of the cat with cheese on his head. :)

What's done is done. There are lots of good people here and some of us disagree on things. That is okay. If we move forward and stop bringing up the subject about who did what we will be better off and have more fun. What do you say? Can we let the mods do there jobs and the rest of us just live and let live?
We have a chance to take a good thing here and make it better.

Do you think anything can grow in scorched earth ? Hopefully the burns aren't too deep ...
