Today, I inspired a kid to play bass. His name is Collin, and he got a guitar from his mother for X-mas, but wasn't very interested in his instrument. He asked me to play for him a few times, which I did. Songs I'd written myself, along with a wide range of simple to complex tunes from Let's Groove to Mr. Miller's cover of Teen Town... but what really got him was Jaco's Portrait of Tracy. In fact, every time I spoke to him he would ask me to play it. I received a phone call from his sister who I speak to as well and she told me that she blamed her "newest annoyance" on me. He got a Squire P/J off of a family friend that he plays with constantly!!
One more win for the low end!
