I had forgotten about that annoying click from playing a P-bass pickup with exposed magnets. Argh!!!

My new to me Peavey DynaBass Deluxe has a Seymour Duncan Hot Vintage P that was fine as long as I had nickle strings with a ground bus. But as soon as I put my intended set of Roto TruBass 88s on and lost that grounding here comes the dread clicking. Gaffer tape ain't purty but it do git 'er done.
Bass is wired 2 v 2 t with a 3 way switch.

Understandable. My main P is setup for recording, and is dead quiet. It's a nice thing. :D

@wraub @Rob112 I may end up replacing the pickup covers as I still occasionally still get the occasional hum between notes from my fingers on top of the pickup even thru two layers of gaffer tape. I am being super picky with this bass because it's primarily for studio and my clients hear everything.
