Can you tell me what the "true" string spacing is? Description says 19mm but I've heard that is wrong and they are are 17.5mm.

That bass sounds perfect !! I’m impressed!!! Sounds more pleasing than the Super5 to my ears.
Could you do center of B string to center of G string?
Center of B string to center of G string is the way to do it. These are 17.5mm (actually 17.37mm) per Babicz.
Here's a quote from a response to the email I sent to Babicz:
"The Tobias basses have a custom 17.37mm spacing per Tobias request. So it is slightly different than the FCHZ5 on our website, it’s slightly narrower.

I have measured my Indonedian Growler 5, Killer B 5 and Classic 5 with calipers, not a ruler. All are 17.5mm.
In the photo above it looks like the first line on the ruler is being used as the center of the E string. It should be the edge of the ruler.

I lowered the string height at the bridge and slapping feels a lot better now. Also, I realize this bass has really glassy highs and I cannot be shy about significantly darkening the tone to get a slap tone that I like.
The getting to know you better phase of a new instrument can be a lot of fun.
I am really happy with the slap tone. It slaps more easily with the string height lowered, and the tone is better with treble really turned down.
Nice to see you finally got it! I've done layaway myself a few times, and it's always tough giving them money and not being able to take it home.

I think this is pretty much it for me and layaway. I had some many things pop up. If I get another bass, I will try to just save the money.

Thank you! That's what I wanted to hear. Currently selling a bass with 19mm spacing. I like 17.5mm so definitely considering placing an order. Now to decide between the Growler or KB. The Growler has my attention but the light 7ish lb. weight makes me concerned about neck dive.

The neck dives hard enough for a gold medal if you don’t use a strap! I don’t mind the strap because bass sounds great and is comfy.
