Yamaha's Big Bike Sales in the USA Are Crashing
This article about Yamaha having sales issues, but I had no idea that Harley- Davidson had half of the US market! Then weren't nearly that popular when I was into bikes. I know I tons of them on the road, but I thought that might be because I am in the Midwest. That said, I know I have thought about buying a Harley many times, and know many who have owned Harley's at one time over. I have also noticed a significant uptick in Black H-D owners. There was a time when African American Harley riders were pretty rare. I think the big change was the aging of my generation. Harley-Davidson is about cruising and enjoying the ride instead of carving canyon corners. After a certain age, most become more laidback. Harley's big challenge now is that fewer young people want bikes. Folks my age, fifty-eight, who want to get back into bikes are not numerous, and frankly my window for active riding is probably pretty small. If am still riding at seventy, I will be thrilled.
