Why is it missing a string?![]()

In any case, that bridge is far too plain for the bass. I don't like the look of the bass, but the bridge throws off the entire motif.
Actually, I've always really disliked 5 string headstocks with tuners arranged symmetrically so that it looks like a tuner is missing on one side. The headstock does look like it's missing a string.
What's wrong with the bridge?
I think it looks great, Hipshot As tend to look good on anything.
Perhaps you were thinking more of an acoustic bridge or a stoptail bridge?
I can't explain it, but this is one instance of a Hipshot looking bad. I almost feel that a wood bridge or single string bridges would keep the sharp, but curvy aesthetic. The Hipshot is boxy and doesn't contrast enough to look like artistic juxtaposition.

Take off the paint.
Take off the control guard.
Leave the knobs and natural finish alone.![]()
