I Hate Crocs!!!!

Crocs have been banned for staff in some hospitals in England as they can build up static electricity and cause vital machines to malfunction. It was on the news here tonight.

I enjoy wearing these muchly

These are less dorky than crocs? I must heartily disagree.

I'd take combat-rated military footwear over ANYTHING.

I don't like being caught in a situation where my footwear could fall off easily. Running from stray dog, auto breaking down on freeway, chasing a pickpocket, climbing a fence, knee-deep in rain flood and mud, barfights, industrial hazards, dropped equipment... jack boots laced half-way up my shins makes me feel warm and fuzzy deep down.

Crocs' fashion statement is: I'm too lazy to tie my shoes, or I'm too fat to reach the laces in the first place. Crocs are good for noodling around the house or the beach. That's it. I see you wearing them in the coffee shop, you're automatically more dorky than me in the worst Star Wars shirt.

"Function" includes being able to quickly distance yourself from a threat. If I wear sandals, they're the sport type and they're firmly strapped to my feet. When the zombies rise from the dead, I don't want be caught wearing a fugly piece of pink plastic I'm just going to step right out of.

Around the house or on a boat deck, fine. In public...um, no. I don't care how comfortable they are. A cammie muumuu is still a muumuu. :smug:

I don't understand how something so ugly can be so popular. My gym shorts are kinda comfy too, but when I go out I change into proper pants. The only good thing is that Crocs is out with some decent looking sandals, so I don't have to stare the Fuglyness model in 23 different colors every time I go out. They also have some shoe models with rubber leg part and leather upper, but those are kinda horrible too - reminding me of the WW2 rubber&leather military boots.

I wear crocs all the time. In fact, it's the only thing I wear cause I got no nice shoes, only that one pair of crocs. Yep, using it over and over and over since last year (the same pair)

and I WILL buy more pairs when I get the cash.
Why? It's looks like friggin' shoes when it's slippers. Perfect for lazy guys like me. Besides, a lot of air gets into your feet, so it dosn't sweat much and get hot.

I WEAR CROCS. SWEET.

So what happens when it rains or gets wet?

Flaw.
