I have 300 dollars to spend on an amp

as the title sugg00 suggests, I have 300 dollars to spend on an amp, and thought I would ask you guys. I just want a pretty good practice amp for the money, and have been looking at an acoustic and wondered if this was the way to go, any other brand suggestions?

If I were you I would save your money and by a half stack. You can always turn down the half stack to practice amp level but you can't turn up the practice amp to half stack level. Save your money!!

are U after a practise amp to use with a band- if so U R looking at an amp/cab that will at least 'keep up with' a live drummer.... BIG difference to a practise amp for home/bedroom use!!!
Go 2nd hand!!!!1 As I'm in AUStralia- I can't help U much re what U can get for the US$$$$. BUT- If I were you & were wanting an amp/cab that will "do" me for a few yrs- AND keep up with a drummer for when I/you do get into that band situation........=- I'd be looking at a 2nd hand 250-500watt amp head & either a 1x15" cab - or a cab with 10" spkrs-pref. a 4x10" or at LEAST a 2x10". Or if poss a 2x12" cab. Look at the amp forums "Sticky"s re amps/cabs ohms/impedances too.

Go used....a GK 400RB or Backline 600 with a used 2x10...say avatar 210.

Or even a 1x15.

u can make 500 as target easy.

Oops....just re-read 300 target is combo land I'm afraid. Used Acoustic B200.
