Take a 4 and a 5 with similar output so you won't have to change you volume and gain settings every time you want to switch.

I have a major problem

You like them all, so it's simple: take the two you've played the least recently!
FWIW I never fuss about the tone of each bass. F'r instance I don't hesitate to use a P-bass for slap songs. Nuances such as that are lost on pretty much everyone else except other bass players. All that really matters is how well you play.

I had my kids pick two different numbers between 1 and 4, and took those basses as they are lined up on their stands. I got to play the 5-er, which I haven't taken to a gig in a long time, and the Stingray 4, which always sounds great. Had a blast, I should have them pick more often.

I used to subscribe to this theory but no longer. Coming from me, who used to own almost 24 Warwick 4, 5, and sixers, including fretless and never a member of a band until this last year (at age 60,) it finally ocurred to me one day that more than 1-2 was total overkill. Sold them all, now I have a couple of Spectors, only one of which I use for gigs. On board EQ takes care of changing tonal pallete. I recommend you sell all but two and buy an Axe-III and Microtubes 500 or 900 so you can use amp modeling. What a lovely, awesome piece of equipment the Axe III is, no more pedal mess either. Problem solved.

Oh—You poor troubled slob. What shall you ever do? I could barely afford the 2 Basses I scrimped and saved forever to have by getting odd jobs and horsetrading. And you have to close your eyes to pick a bass or put yourself in the throws of agony. What a world—what a world it is!! I believe Steven Tyler wrote his song about bass players like you—“JADED”
Well, speaking of jaded... I am sure that the OP worked hard and long to get what they have. Kinda a low blow here to my way of thinking. I guess I won't tell you how many I have.... and worked long and hard to get.

Leave them all at home and borrow one from a buddy hehe. If you pick one that hasn’t been used for a while, for goodness sake make sure the battery is good if it’s active. I know some poor bastard who did that.
I think it was intended as a tongue-in-cheek “major problem”, and seeing how he solved it doesn’t change my mind.
Just take the 2 basses in your SOLID collection that you own. Never said that he owned more than 2 basses people.
