I have a problem... I buy basses without cases.

I need a case for my new Jackson JS3V bass. I thought it would fit in an SKB 44 case, but my friend has that case, and the new Dave Ellefson 4 string bass. He said he doesn't think it will fit a 5 string headstock.

Does anyone have this bass? If so, what case do you have? The store I bought the bass from said Jackson no longer makes cases for basses. Really?

I have been emailing places like sweetwater.com, and they respond asking if I'm ready to make a purchase. Otherwise, they're unwilling to help. I'm just asking to see what case will fit my bass. Not a gig bag, a hardshell case.

If anyone can help, that would be great. Thank you!

The actual issue with finding a case for it is more one of the tilt back headstock. Cases like SKB wont work cause you have no neck support for the bass due to tilt back headstock end lifting the bass above skb's neck support area. I use a roadrunner molded abs case for my JS3. I did add a little bit of foam at rear of body compartment so bass wont slide back and forth. It diff slides back and forth to much in the roadrunner regular wood bass case. The abs molded fits it much better.

What surprises me is that as best I can tell Jackson doesnt even make bass cases for the JS or Ellefson series.
