I have a problem (new guvnor bass)

So my problem is I enjoy fixing and building bass guitars almost as much as I enjoy playing them. Any time I see a cheap bass that’s broken I want to fix it and now I have a few bass . My newest one is a guvnor bass no more information then that.

So first I was going to restore it but upon removing the stickers the paint came off, so now I’m unsure how I should finish the body.

Also it came with no pickguard and I’m not entirely sure how it was before so I have a few pickup choices to drop in this.

I’m tempted to strip the paint but there’s a few deep chips and thinking of the jazz pickup in the neck position.
what would you guys do ?
