Trying to get back into playing. So when I was younger it was always Fender, Ibanez , and Spector products. I still own enjoy and appreciate these basses. As I got into my 40s I developed nerve issues in my left arm and hand, which were non bass related injuries. So years ago I acquired a Epiphone Thunderbird and enjoyed playing it. Regret getting rid of it. I was learning pick playing and for some reason I feel more comfortable on a T-Bird than I do on other basses when picking.
So a couple months ago I got one of those Epiphone 64’ reissue basses, and out of the box it was awesome. Gets a bit deep at time, with my P and J Basses I tend to roll of the mids on the amp. With the T bird I pull the lows back a bit and bring the mids up.
But the neck action and the passive character is so versatile. Well any way I feel more creative on it, and I never thought I would be a T-Bird guy…but now I am.
