What a strangely awesome bass! The preamp is wild. It has a filter knob attached to a frequency select/ap switch, a TBX tone control, a pickup switch, and volume.
The neck is PHENOMENAL, with figuring that's just beautiful...

It certainly lives up to its name, as I had to be careful as to how hard I drove the amp. This thing was blasting out some powerful signals, that's for sure!

More to come when I have more time...

I think I like the idea of the electronics, but I'm not sure yet of the execution...

The TBX adds a lot of treble. And the system is pretty trebly as it is. When I was playing last night, I had the tone almost completely backed off, the frequency switch was in the bass mode (middle), and the sweep was dialed to a level where it sounded good. I made a great sound with the bass.

But I can't see myself turning the TBX on. It's got an inherently brittle sound (though the new strings don't help that).
And the frequency knob must remain in a safe place, otherwise it will boost a volume and a signal to speaker-decimating levels.

There's a lot of power in the bass, but my sound was best suited when I dialed all of that back.
It plays SO nice, though.
