I just bought a Phantom hollowbody and...

...I'm trying to figure out how to remove and access the volume knobs and plug-in jack. Is there an easy way to access this stuff on the inside, or do I need something like a dental mirror to see what I'm doing? The knobs are missing, and when I plug it in, all i get is some static, but nothing from the pick ups. It looks just like this [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

except mine is missing the pick guard. Does anyone have one of these that can offer up some sage-like advice on repair and maintenance?

I have a coronado II, that is not easy to get to either, but if I were gonna pull the pot, I'd go in thur the pup hole. Make sure you tie a string around the pot you are pulling so you can fish it back thur the holes. I've personally never work on mine but my luthier told me if was a little challenging.

The string is a good idea, I may have to give that a shot.

I figured out by removing the lower pickup that there's a hole just big enough for the knobs to come out. Everything's out, now. A few wires were loose, now I just need to figure where they went, and hopefully can get this thing up and running again. The string trick will definitely help with putting them back into position.
