I just ghetto rigged me an amp

So I just got a bass, and I am in need of an amp. Today I was playing music in my sound system through my laptop. I pulled the cord out and looked at it. I remembered that I had a jack adapter. I tired it, and it fit. It's a pretty terrible sound, but it's sti;l cool. I'll try to get pics later.

I hope you like crackling computer sounds because that's what you'll get after you - and you will, blow the laptop speakers.

I am running the bass through the sund sytem, not through the laptop

I believe the laptop only acts as an input anyway. I am using my surround sound as the bass amp.

Yeah, my laptop speakers would be destroyed if I tried to put it through those.

Be careful about the surround speakers too. They're not designed for the heavy hits you can cause with a bass. They're designed for mixed music, which never has the peaks you can produce with a plucked string.
