I just order without trying a new amp

crazy I know I am playing very small
gigs with my pastor. I got tired of lugging a 410 and my MarkBass head. So I purchase a 40 watt Ampeg 110 2v from Sweetwater Music maybe 20 to 25 people. It's me on bass he plays guitar and uses a little 20 to 30 watt Peavey amp and his wife plays piano. Do you think it will work okay. I figured for $150.00 what the heck ,

Get ready for a long line of people telling you your amp is too small. Congrats on the NAD, tho! I keep telling myself I'm gonna sell it all, buy a small combo like yourself and just do smaller combo gigs (or just play at home for my damn self for once) and be content...some day!

I will be looking for a decent combo soon though, so post your thoughts on this one and let us know how it works out!

IF I NEED TO GET LOUD I WILL BRING MY MARKBASS, WAIT MY CAPLOCK IS STUCK AGAIN , OH WELL. BACK IN THE DAY ME AND A FRIEND USE TO PLAY LITTLE COFFEE HOUSES AND SMALL WINERY'S AND I USED AN OLD IBANEZ 15 WATT BASS AMP, I DID HOW EVERY PUT A BETTER 10 IN IT A CARVIN 200 WATT TEN. AND THAT THING WORKED GREAT , THEN WE STARTED PLAYING BIGGER GIGS. I ENDED UP BUYING A JEFF BERLIN MARKBASS AND ADDED A 210 CAB TO IT , SO I COULD GET THE FULL 500 WATTS IF NEEDED, I STILL HAVE IT. THIS IS A PICTURE OF SOME OF MY STUFF SOME IS AT CHURCH. AT CHURCH I USE A OLD SWR 350 HEAD AND A OLD SWR 410 CAN AND BOTH ARE IN GREAT SHAPE .I LIKE PLAYING SOMETIMES WITH A SOMEONE WHO PLAYS ACOUSTIC JAZZ, AND A DRUMMER WITH JUST A SNARE AND BRUSHES. I HAVE PLAYED IN BIG LOUD BANDS SUCH AS BLUES AND CHRISTIAN METAL AND ROCK IN THEM DAYS I USED A SWR 750 HEAD AND A BOOGIE 210 WITH 15 CAB AND SOMETIMES INSTEAD OF THE 15 AN 18, SOLD ALL THAT GOT TIRED AT MY AGE CARRYING IT ALL AROUND. BUT WE WILL SEE IF IT THE LITTLE AMPEG WORKS ARE NOT.IF NOT I HAVE SPENT 150 BUCKS ON WORSE THINGS.

OH I FORGOT YESTERDAY I SOLD THE MARKBASS HEAD AND 410, I AM GOING TO SAVED THE MONEY AND MAYBE PURCHASE A NICE FRETLESS, I MISS MY FRETLESS I GUESS I WILL GET OFF HERE AND TRY TO FIX MY CAPLOCK BUTTON, MY GRANDSON SPILLED PEPSI ON THE KEY BOARD, THIS MAKE THE SECOND TIME I HAVE HAD TO TAKE THE KEYBOARD AND CLEAN IT WITH ACOHOL. AND AGAIN THANKS AND FORGIVE THE WEIRD SENTENCE'S AT TIME I HAVE SEVERE ADHD.

Honestly, that amp should be just fine. I can't say I've played with a pastor, or a guitarist/pianist in a trio, but I can't imagine them being TOO loud. Those combos can surprise people with how loud they can get too sometimes, I've played basement shows with 8" combos - and not nice ones either.

I had V1 of that combo, and gave it to my band's drummer for his electronic kit at home when I upgraded to the BA-112 v2. Honestly, I wish I'd have kept it sometimes, but he does a lot for us so it's all good. And I can get another one if I really think I need it. But I like the new one just as much as the old one...I think in the situations you'll be using it, it'll be great.

Thank you all for your feed back. I am on my phone now and it will make small letters . And thank you all for understanding my ADHD and seizure meds side effects so far they keeping from having them, but the meds have their side effects, and most all my eyesight see great 20 ft or more. But I am very thankful your feed back, 30 year and still playing worship in church . And a little blues on the side

i got called from Sweetwater, my amp was on back order. They got one in to day and shipped it right out. I will get it in 4 or 5 days. After I use it for a while I will tell you what I think. I have a gig with my pastor and his wife coming up soon and I will have a chance to use it, I will let you know what happens and give my review of it.
