Double Bass I just saw these advertised

I imagine they are really intended for 'SLAB', but of course I'm curious what they might sound like for DB. Has anyone tried one (with either bass?)

Haven’t tried it, but it seems to be a slightly DB unfriendly design. The ports on the side increase ambience, which makes for more variables on different stages. Are we to assume that the Down firing 12 is coming out through the ports?

I've been eyeballing this series of cabs over the past month or so, as well. The rocker in me knows these cabs thump, but that isn't necessarily the deciding factor. I think column arrays handle the complexities of the dawghouse bass better than most bass cabinets. YMMV. I still want to jam on one with my Krivo pickup...the question would be which bass amp to pair it with.

For that price, you can go with “other”
powered bass cabinets that have exceptional sound and compact designs, provided you are willing to deal independent builders build times

I’ve used linear arrays and they do sound amazing.

One front firing 10" and one downfiring 12", plus a tweeter. 36 pounds. Sounds close to my AI Ten2 cabinet, at about 25 pounds. I don't see any mention of a linear array. My Ten2 is for sale in the classified if someone wants to try a front-and-down firing configuration.

Genzler comes to mind... plus the usual Bose L tower style PAs I would imagine.

A while back I had two MAS 4x5.5’s that I could stack vertically or horizontally, while I guess it’s not technically a linear array I was using it like one. Just my take.
