Exactly, now get out or answer the question.

You've had some good answers to your question.... and this is the only contribution to the discussion you have to offer????
What about a DI with a Bergantino IP112 or 310?
One of these perhaps?

I'm truly sorry. Couldn't help it.
I just want a useful response to the question posed. What you are doing amounts to the same thing as when people go to the effects forum to say they don't like effects. Or walking up to someone you don't know and saying, "Your hair cut is stupid and your shirt is ugly."
Maybe I like to build my sound on the floor or in my hands.
Maybe I don't like the taste of Ampeg dick or the sound of Fender basses.
Maybe I do things completely different from you because that's the way I like doing things.
If you take the time to listen to any of my recordings you will find that you and I have nearly opposite views on what sounds good.
In any case if you don't have anything to move the point forward in this thread, start your own thread about how not having tone controls is stupid. Then you can go on about it and it doesn't waste space in my thread.
For those of you actually providing valid information and helpful recommendations, thank you for properly responding in a beneficial manner. Posts like yours help, and that is appreciated.
Man, I don't have anything to add.
That's why I asked the question. A no control amp system is totally new to me.
I'm here trying to learn, not get hassled by people who think there is only one way.
I'll check out your recommendation, thanks.
God can someone just ban jimmy, he's always venturing into threads he knows he's not going to agree with, and posts anyway, looking for trouble.
Thank you. Yes, God forbid someone point out a potential downside to an idea. You're right. I should be banned, trying to be somewhat helpful and point out a potential downside. But don't worry...when you start Oozmanbass, I'll stay far far away from it.God can someone just ban jimmy, he's always venturing into threads he knows he's not going to agree with, and posts anyway, looking for trouble.
What if the amp with just a volume knob sounds like crap? Then you're helpless, whereas if you have knobs, you can turn them and get a better sound.
