I have a vintage P but if I ever needed a new one, it'd either be a CV -- because it's so good at such a good price -- or...spend the big bucks (a few hundred more than that $1000) and get the 62 re-issue. That is the ultimate P, IMO.

I have the road worn 57 MIM best pbass I've played & I own a 69 & a 95 pbass too! I Compared it to a 62 pbass at Neil Finns studio & it totally stood its ground against the most famous pbass of all time!!
