I like discontinued basses. Am I alone?

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am on a quest and have been so for a few months.
I am in search of the above Bass Guitar.

I owned 3 back 'n' the day, However became more partial and bias towards the RB650 as it has the longer neck and scale.
So I had saw one that came up years back but did not have funding and it was complete with the original case as well.

I know they still exist, however I am on kind of a timeline as its a gift for my Son (24).
Any help by all members will be greatly appreciated and not sure if there is such thing as a finders fee here (Nudge Nudge, Wink Wink). In which I would be happy and provide.

Again, I reassure you all that this Bass will have all the Love It needs and just may become my own passion, before it would go to my son.....:D

Please folk's let me know and may everyone have a great 2022 Christmas.
sincerely

Absolutely Best Bass I have ever played in 36+ years.
They sound beautiful and the action on the pine neck was absolutely like playing on butter.
Loved them and still do.
Looking for one for my soon now.
Have a great Christmas 2022

For me, these are the basses I like the most. All discontinued , no longer in production. They all sold well. And don't come up too often on the used market. When they do, they sell pretty quickly.

My least expensive Crafted in China Classic Vibe 60's PBass has increased in value.

My US Geddy Lee isn't discontinued as of yet but due COVID they aren't any available , prices have increased and no new ones are expected until next year.

I think I'm pretty set with these basses for what I do. I don't see myself buying or needing another.

That's about 90% if not more of all basses even Fender P's & J's since they're in the habit of changing model names more frequently.
