I met Robert Trujillo

I'm not sure if this is the right section for this. But last night I met Robert Trujillo. He is currently in Cape Town for a few gigs and I saw him at a club last night.

As he was leaving I went up to him and asked about The Bass of Doom. He told me the whole story even though security was insistent that they had to leave.
What a nice guy!

I'd have asked him about the Bass of Doom too. That thing has such an amazing story from what I've read. Is everything the internet says true? Anything you learn that you can tell us? ^^
I'm so jealous you met him. That's great!

Yeah, he told me pretty much what I knew already. He is the legal owner of the bass, but I don't think he keeps it currently. He also told me that he is involved in producing a documentary on the Pastorius family (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Trujillo#Other_projects) which I didn't know about.

If I had more time I'd have asked him why he plays jazz basses and if he has ever played the Bass Of Doom live.
