Loving the sound of my new NS Design NXTa Radius bass, but it's 2.5 lbs heavier than what I'm used to. I'm using an old Comfort Strapp (3 1/8" at its widest) and wonder if there's a wider/better padded strap I could get to avoid shoudler pain. (Yes, I know I'm a big wimp.)

I have 3" Lakota Leathers straps on most of my basses. The bison leather is really soft and supple. I don't miss the added width or extra padding at all. I've used a Levy's 4-1/2" padded strap the last few gigs, and honestly, I miss the Lakota strap. The Levy's strap is a bit stiff when new, but it distributes the weight OK.

I have a 4" wide Moody. Black leather front, suede back (to help prevent neck dive). Been gigging it for 15 years. A wonderful investment!
Being a 67 year old worn out old man with a bad back.... I spent the cash for a Moody strap and have never been happier.
