I need a delay, delay, delay...

I've used the DD-20 and it's really very nice. The tape and analog emulations are pretty warm and the modulation is pretty cool. I really like very long delays. My biggest complaint about it was that I didn't like the bright blue tempo led constantly flashing at me. It made me nervous.

has anyone ever used the Boss RE 20 space echo?
i really cant decide between that and a boss dd-20
the space echo sounds so much warmer but the dd-20 is more versatile

any thoughts...especially on bass

I use the RE20 space echo and while it's not as versatile as the dd20, it's worked it's way into my sound on a few tunes. It does really well at modeling the old tape echos and I've gotta say the feedback pedal is a trip.

Not to mention, the spring reverb feature is nice...

+1 Diddii
I own both and use them separately depending on whether I need a fine tuned digital delay versus a simple analog that can just thicken your sound up. I personally prefer the Carbon Copy. One of my favorite pedals on my board! The key is to play with both and determine what you like best!

The Electro Harmonix Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai is freaking phenominal. It sounds amazing, is super versitile has a dedicated tap-tempo pedal, has presets, and it's built really well.

When I bought my Boss DD-7 (which I totally don't regret), it was a close thing with the EHSMMWH. If I'd had a few more spare bucks at the time there's a good chance I might have ended up with it instead.
