If you want to use your tuner for setting intonation then a strobe tuner will be your best bet. I love my two Sonic Research ST-300s but I’m sure the Peterson and TC Electronics offerings are also excellent options.

I Need a Tuner Upgrade

So those saying accurate, how do you know or is it what the manufacturer told you. Have the been independently tested. How do they work for harmonically complex sources.
I've had a TU-2 for about 15 years that still works very well for me. I picked up a used Peterson Classic Stomp from GC that has become my main tuner. BOTOH I have no problem using the Snark Clip-On.
I had been using a boss tu-2 for years. Just picked up a Peterson strobostomp this morning, and it registers the B on my 5 strings much faster. I got sick of the lack of response from the tu-2.
I have both the newest Peterson and Turbo Tuner Mini. If I were just getting back into playing, I would get a TU-3. It has the easiest display to read, especially coming from an ancient Arion. The poly feature on the TC tuners bugs me though they're perfectly cromulent tuners.

Without having read a single reply, I'm going to go ahead and cast my vote for the Peterson Strobostomp HD. It's got a big, gorgeous display and you can choose the color, too. The strobe effect let's you get real fussy about your pitch. (Especially handy when setting intonation, etc.) And you can have it always on so that it always displays your note, even when it's not muting you. Best tuner I've ever had.
I have a TU-3 and am happy with it. Where it (and other Boss pedals) don’t always get enough love sometimes is how good the switch is; I love the boss design of having a nice big flat cushioned surface to press, with a silent actuation, rather than the small metal clicky buttons on my other pedals. Since I take advantage of my tuner to mute quite a lot, having a nice big quiet switch is a big factor for me on a tuner pedal.

Love having mine always on. It's also interesting what color you pick. I thought I wanted to purple, but it ended up that aqua was the easiest color to see.
