i need amp help!

I am about to buy a new amp, with a budget of about £250/$412 and was looking for a combo that i could plug a cabinet into later on i needed to use it at bigger venues. i'm kinda new to all this so was wondering if you could help me out!

Sounds like you're on the right track. Not all combo amps will support an ext spkr. Most that do, get not only the added benefit of extra spkrs, but also increased output. I don't know where you are, or what's available in your area, but go out to your local guitar shops, and look for something in the 200-300 watt range, with 2 10" spkrs. That's a great platform to start with, as you can add another 210, or a 15 to that combo, and have a gig worthy bass rig.

all the music shops are pants near me, so i would probably get it from Invalid Link Removed could i be a cheek and ask you to point ones out that could go to a cab for around $400. sorry i am a massive lemon.

Dollars, or Pounds. Those are UK prices. Ampegs are right out, no ext spkr. Fender's too, I think. But the GK 400RB combo, with the 15" spkr is a good choice. Think it was around 500 pounds though. Look at each one within your budget, read the features. If it doesn't say ext spkr jack, then it won't have one. Good luck.
